To be able to carry out our vision the services we provide to our clients include the following:
Farm consultations
The idea of farm visits is to connect nutrition with farm performance. For SwiNE to be able to formulate tailored diets we have to have an idea of what is going on at the farm and the only way to do this is to have a farm visit. During the visit we will spend time with the manager(s) and the animals to determine where improvements can be made and strive to improve results via nutrition. In addition to this we will provide management advice where needed.
Formulations
Custom feed formulations are developed based on the farm visit and the requirements of our clients. Additionally we will provide a feed program which supplies the client with a guideline to the following:
•When (age and weight of animals) the specific diets should be fed
•Required intake of the animals per day
•Feed budget (the amount of feed per pig required for the indicated feed period of the diet)
customized macro solutions
SwiNE has a relationship with various production partners to manufacture and supply customized macro premixes for the production of final feeds. We also develop specialized solutions to improve our clients’ production results – SupaFlush.
Quality MONITORING
SwiNE believe that feed ingredient quality is the starting points in formulating diets and building feed program. We have developed our own unique feed and ingredient monitoring program to track and monitor ingredient quality on each farm. The information is not only used to monitor ingredient quality, but also to enable us to formulate accurate and real time formulations.
Custom client ingredient profiles are created and a unique ingredient matrix is developed for each client, for each ingredient.
Feed Training
SwiNE provide feed training to farm management and farm employees. Basic nutritional training includes feed formulation, understanding raw materials and basic pig husbandry. The aim of the training is to provide the farm management and employees with a better understanding of nutrition and the importance thereof.
Research Facility
SwiNE has a dedicated researcher and research facility to conduct feeding trials. Exploring with new ideas and feed concepts, testing commercial products and determining the nutritional requirements of swine are all part of the agenda.
